Senior Vice President of Humane USA PA PAC has devoted her life work to improving conditions for animals. Professionally, she is Senior Vice President for Campaigns at the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).*
As the Sr. V.P. for Campaigns, Heidi oversees and leads strategic, nationwide advocacy campaigns on factory farming, hunting, fur, and animal cruelty, including animal fighting.
Ms. Prescott has led a decade-long campaign to end live pigeon shoots, culminating in shutting down the nation's largest and most notorious live pigeon shoot in Hegins, Pa. She has played a key role in developing anti-hunting, anti-trapping and wildlife protection campaigns. She managed a staff
that grew from six to 20 over eight years and conducted campaigns involving education, litigation and legislative activity on a wide spectrum of humane issues across the country, including hunting, trapping, fur, canned hunts, and animals in entertainment.
Ms. Prescott joined The HSUS with its merger with The Fund for Animals. She worked for The Fund for Animals for 15 years, serving as its national director for eight years.
A Pennsylvania native, Ms. Prescott received a bachelor's degree in psychology in 1981 and a master's of fine art in 1986 from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
