Welcome to the website of a Pennsylvania Political Action Committee dedicated to electing candidates who demonstrate an understanding and a willingness to work to amend Pennsylvania laws to eliminate animal cruelty within the Commonwealth.
Treasurer of Humane USA PA PAC, is Director of Client Services for the Afflerbach Group and is responsible for assisting clients with strategic planning and legislative or regulatory advocacy.
Hank served 37 years as a teacher, administrator, athletic director, and independent consultant for public education. A career member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA), Hank has led initiatives for progressive educational legislation and was instrumental in developing curriculum initiatives and leadership programs for the 18,000 student Allentown School District.
During his career in public education, Hank became notable as an advisor and coordinator for political and isssue campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels. After successfully managing a campaign for Mayor of Allentown, PA in 2001, Hank assumed the position of Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Pennsylvania's third largest city.
In addition to overseeing the administrative functions of the Mayor's office, Hank served as the Mayor's trouble-shooter within all departments and aspects of city government, where his "can-do" attitude frequently unraveled "red tape" to facilitate new economic development and public safety initiatives. Presently, he is coordinating an international development initiative involving businesses in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
Hank earned a B.S. in Social Science at Kutztown State College and a Master's Degree at Temple University. He completed additional post-graduate work at Lehigh University and the University of Maryland, and has served as an adjunct professor at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA.
